Running Backs Minimize

Jerron Seymour, 5'6, 180 Hialeah

Seymour can be effectively described as a human motor.  Though he is relatively short, his solid build and incredible body control allows him to dart in and out of traffic on the line.  With good stop-start speed and a strong ability to change directions, Seymour will prove to be a threat against any defense.

Kevin Grooms, 5'10, 170, South Broward

With decent height and incredible quickness, Grooms will be a solid bet to be a premier running back this year.  However, Grooms also shines at cornerback.  His start-stop ability is well above average and is crucial for both roles.  As the season gets in motion it will be interesting to watch whether Grooms will continue to play both ways or narrow in to one position.

Orville Reynolds, 5'7, 170, Douglas

Being undersized, Reynolds must rely on his craftiness and speed to become an elusive back.  His lateral footwork proves to be one of his best assets and allows him to hit the holes for positive gains.  Thus far Reynolds has verbally committed to Wake Forest University.

Devonte Freeman, 5'9, 185, Central

As Freeman continues to hit the gym and develop physically he will become one of the most built backs around.  His run style relys on his abiility to bust through holes and attack head on.  He tries to avoid dancing around in traffic which makes him a power runner.  With his size he is also extremely capable of landing explosive blocks.  Freeman has verbally committed to Florida State University.
