This season your South Florida Scion Dealers created an award to recognize outstanding football players in Broward and Miami- Dade County. The players were nominated and winners selected by students and high school football fans throughout the season by logging on and voting at SouthFloridaHighSchoolFootball.com.
Scion Player of the Year Finalist were narrowed down to twelve (12) candidates for each county and represented the best athletes on offense, defense and special teams.

The Scion Player of the Year for Miami-Dade County is JJ Worton from South Dade Senior High School. JJ help South Dade reach the Region 4, 6A finals, playing wide-receiver, safety, place kicker, punter and punt returner. This season, JJ averaged 20 yards per reception, scored nine (9) touchdowns, averaged 36 yards per punt attempt plus he converted 4 of 5 field goal attempts! |

The Broward County, The Scion Player of the Year is Lamarcus Joyner from St. Thomas Aquinas. Lamarcus is an all purpose athlete who was selected as a Parade All- American, the USA Today Defensive Player of the year, who totaled 1,090 all-purpose yards while helping his team advance to the Class 5A state semifinals. |
